I’m David and I’m a foodaholic. I have an unhealthy obsession with food that has seen me struggle with my weight for almost half my life. Losing weight seemed impossible and it got to the stage where I could only buy clothes online as nothing in the shops would fit, simple exercise like going for a walk was becoming difficult, and the thought of flying filled me with dread because I’d have to ask for a seatbelt extension.

Me in 2016
At the end of 2016 I decided that I’d had enough. I told myself that 2017 was going to be the year that I’d lose weight. To be honest, even I was more than a little skeptical of my own idea. 2016 was meant to be the year that I lost weight. And 2015. 2014 as well. Oh, yeah, don’t forget 2013. You get the idea. I started every January with the same new year’s resolution – and by January 2nd I’d be at the Burger King drive-thru, telling myself that it was still the holidays and that the diet doesn’t officially start until Monday.
But 2017 WAS the year that I lost weight. I lost almost 100lbs. 7 stone. 44 kilos. And I’ve never felt better.

In the coming months, I’ll share with you the moment that I decided that things needed to change, how I lost just under 100lbs in 2017, and what I’m doing next. Start reading my blog here.
And I’ll also share with you some of my favourite recipes that have transformed the way I think about food and helped me to lose all that weight. So, if you need some inspiration for dinner – or Dinnspiration – let’s get cooking…
